SOUND IN MOTION
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Sound in Motion is an independent [not-for-profit] festival dedicated to electronic music and arts,
taking place July 12 -14, 2013 in Toronto, Canada.
Founded and presented by Toronto-based collective StudioFeed, the festival will build on
its first year of forward-thinking electronic music performances and thought provoking panel
discussions by expanding its programming range to a variety of diverse musical expressions
and genres.
In recognition of the vast potential of Canadian based artists and with a commitment to
discovery, Sound In Motion will be accepting and considering submissions for this years festival
from Canadian artists living in Canada or abroad for the following:
• Live acts
• Audiovisual performances
Applicants “live act” submissions should be accompanied by a 30-minute live recording
reflecting their live act, and are also encouraged to include a visual sample of their live
performance (for e.g. YouTube or Vimeo links). Please note that Sound In Motion is open to a
multitude of electronic music acts but is seeking only live samples to its submissions process.
Thus, DJ mixes will not be considered for submission.
For those applicants submitting audio-visual work, any submissions should be accompanied by
a sample of previous live audiovisual performance. This can be submitted via a link to your work
on a video streaming site such as vimeo/youtube etc.
The submission deadline for all Sound In Motion 2013 proposals is January 15th, 2013
although we strongly encourage you to get in touch with us as soon as possible, as we are
already starting to build our festival program.
Send your proposals, demos, links and other relevant information by email
